The Nikon D700 is a fusion of astonishing image quality and agility. Customer Review: Step up from D300
One of the unique aspects of the D700 is that you may use DX or FX lenses - it can recognize either and accommodate them. This allows you not to have to reinvest with specific lenses. Of course the 2.8’s are so tantalizing that I have bought a few and look to add to them in the future. It handles nicely and the pictures are stunning.
Customer Review: So you want to upgrade your D200 to a D700
There are already a lot of reviews of the D700 on Amazon.com so I will focus on the current D200 user who is considering upgrading to a D700. If affordability is an issue and/or you have a lot invested in DX lenses (I will explain why later), skip the D700 and either buy a D300 that are being discounted since it is late in its product life cycle or wait for a successor to the D300. Another alternative to consider is the new D90.

Customer Review: This package has a lot of value
I actually purchased this same package with a 55-200 VR Zoom Nikon lens added and I was skeptical. I had been through this routine before - the merchant calls or sends an email and requires a “discussion” before your order is filled. That “discussion” is an opportunity for the merchant to hard-sell you everything from over-priced batteries and memory cards to an extended warranty not worth the paper it’s printed on.

Customer Review: Purchase from Cameta Camera
Cameta Camera provided excellent customer service for this purchase. The camera was refurbished and came with dust spots on the sensor. I did not notice them until I was on a trip, about two weeks later. Cameta’s customer service responded immediately to my e-mail with an offer of a full refund or exchange. I am impressed with their overall service so I am doing an exchange. I consider them to be an A+ company.
Customer Review: Disappointing
Paid a lot of money for this camera, and was very disappointed with the noise issue i experienced. On top of that the color was not natural for the subject being captured. Just disappointing.

Customer Review: Auto focusing problem
I got Nikon D80 with 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 ED-IF AF-S DX Lens. I used all auto model to take some pictures.
Shooting distance: 5-6′, using auto focusing with 18mm, auto model,
single area mood and auto area mood. I took pictures of white label
with letters. the label is 4″X2″ the letters are 3/8″, I could see
them clearly by my eyes.
When I view the picture on computer on original size (X1), I found the letters were not well focused, I could not see them clearly. The picture
was totally blur. I tried several times of taking pictures, the results are same. I also tried 135mm with same case, pictures were OK.

Customer Review: nikon d60 outfit
After using a point and shoot camera for years I decided it was time for an upgrade and thats why I bought the Nikon d60. Its a great slr camera for the money. Light weight and very easy to use . Takes really nice pictures. The only thing one should consider is a choice when it come to a lens and that depends what you are going to use the camera for. The 18-55mm comes with the camera I recommend the 70-300mm if you need the extra zoom for sporting events. Theres alot you can do with this camera and once again great for the money.

The kit comes with everything you need to start shooting great pictures. The 18-105mm lens is great for indoor/close up shooting, the 300mm works well for distance. The 300mm lens does not have Vibration Reduction (VR), but that’s typically another $500.

Customer Review: Very good …price??
I have no complaint with this camera I have used for almost two years now as a vacation/hiking camera. I shoot at a daily paper so I’m used to using pro gear and this body is a tad small, but I got it for it’s light weight. I must comment on this insane 900.00 price. I picked one up, body only, at this same website for less than $500 almost two years ago. Stay away from this price. It is a huge rip. Shop elsewhere for the d40x. This is not a $900 camera. This is a $400-500 camera at best.
Customer Review: A GREAT Camera
This is the finest camera I’ve had. I’m not a professional but travel in remote and unusual places. I must admit it is a bit heavy and not easy to whip out. It does intimidate people a bit. but the photos are outstanding.
I use the 17-200 mm Nikon lens and that’s all you need when space and weight are limited. I would say it’s the best camera for adventure travel where you won’t have someone carrying your “stuff”. I trekked with it.
Why bother to take more than one lens? I take an extra battery & charger, with lots of memory 4GB. The battery is unbelievable and lasts longer than most. Just charge when you have the opportunity for electricity.
I have a Canon SD 1100 for the pocket and the Canon G10, but the photos do not come close to the Nikon D 40 X
