This tripod not strong. My nikon camera shake because with the 18-105 zoom it barely can carry the weight

The quality of construction for this Nikon Tripod is very good as you would expect from that brand. All adjustments are very easy to manipulate, and although very sturdy, it is also pretty light. No case comes with it, so you may want to get one of those as well.

I was very disappointed when I got this tripod. The seller was awesome, but the quality of this tripod is worse than the ones at Walmart or K-mart! I expected anything carrying the Nikon name would be built to high standards, but this Nikon tripod is worse than their camera bags I looked at in a local camera store. I learned a good lesson after 30 years of photography: just because it says Nikon on the item does NOT mean it is as good as their cameras and lenses. I would hate to see someone buy this for 35mm or digital SLR photography, but it might work for a little point and shoot or pocket sized digital. I certainly won’t be using mine anytime soon for macro or zoom shots. My last words… check other tripods before you buy this one!

i’m using this with a nikon d80 and i’m very happy with it so far.
received it as a gift and it is great.
it is not too heavy, thankfully, which means it’s not a real hassle to carry around. it’s also a solid build, not surprising at all from nikon of course. i like the black color as well, looks nice with my camera.
it extends very smoothly, and retracts very smoothly as well. the ergonomics of this tripod are 5 star, haven’t found anything that isn’t smooth or easy to adjust. the camera fits securely on the mount and the tilt/pan controls are sturdy.
the camera mount piece comes off so you don’t have to turn your camera in circles to mount it, just remove it, twist it onto the camera, and slide the camera in place onto the tripod. pretty standard but it’s definitely an improvement from my old tripod which did not have this feature.
great tripod and good price.
